Meet orthopedic spine surgeon Dr. Kevin O’Neill

Dr. Kevin O’Neill graduated summa cum laude from the University of Notre Dame in 2000, receiving his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. In 2002, he received a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He attended medical school at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana and graduated in 2007.

Dr. O’Neill completed an orthopedic surgery residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee in 2012 and an orthopedic spine fellowship from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri in 2013 focusing on the care of adult and pediatric scoliosis, complex cervical spine disorders and degenerative spinal conditions.

Prior to joining OrthoIndy, Dr. O’Neill worked as an assistant professor in the department of orthopedic and neurological surgery at Vanderbilt University. He has authored numerous articles
in professional medical journals and presented research at many national meetings.

Dr. O’Neill is board certified by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and belongs to the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Association Emerging Leaders and the North American Spine Society.
