What should I bring to a Super Bowl party?

If you started the year off on a healthy note, don’t kick your healthy habits to the curb for your Super Bowl party. Whether you’re hosting or in charge of a dessert or appetizer, there are plenty of ways to keep your dish healthy and delicious.

These recipes tackle an all-in-one nutritious, protein-packed and tasteful dish for your next Super Bowl party. 

What snacks are healthy?

Snacks, in general, should contain some type of nutritious element—whether that’s whole-grain, a good source of vitamins or high in protein. 

Be mindful and control your snacking intake at your next Super Bowl party; however, enjoy and indulge in a dessert or cocktail! Try one of the recipes below for your next party. 

Healthy Buffalo Chicken Dip | Ingredients

  • Shredded chicken
  • Blue cheese
  • Siracha or Hot sauce
  • Nonfat Greek plain yogurt
  • Cottage Cheese
  • Cheddar Cheese 

Tip: Instead of using chips to dip, try using vegetables.

Football Shaped Mini-turkey Sandwiches | Ingredients

  • Rye bread
  • Sliced turkey
  • Original hummus
  • Goat cheese or feta
  • Lettuce
  • Tomatoes

Tip: Top the sandwich off by drawing football laces with mayonnaise

Smoked Gouda, Turkey Bacon-Wrapped jalapeno poppers | Ingredients

  • Smoked gouda, shredded
  • Low-fat cream cheese
  • Turkey bacon
  • Jalapeno peppers, halved and seeded

Tip: Add chopped green onions.

Peanut Butter Cup Cheesecake Dip |Ingredients

  • Reduced fat cream cheese
  • Natural, smooth peanut butter
  • Cocoa powder
  • Honey
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Salt

Tip: For serving, use fruit or gluten-free pretzels.
