After 32 years of providing the community with quality joint replacements, Dr. David Fisher is retiring from OrthoIndy, effective January 4, 2020. All of OrthoIndy would like to thank Dr. Fisher for his years of patient service and wish him the best of luck in his retirement.
Over the years, Dr. Fisher has impacted many lives in and out of the operating room. Below, patients and employees express their gratitude towards Dr. Fisher.
“Thank you OrthoIndy and especially Dr. Fisher for allowing me to play with my grandchildren and continue my passion of running,” said OrthoIndy patient, Toney Groves.
“Dr. Fisher is my hero. He gave me my life back. He gave my children their mom back. He gave my husband his wife back. He was so compassionate and genuinely cared about me,” said OrthoIndy patient, Melissa Gardner.
“Dr. Fisher has had a huge impact on the success of OrthoIndy during his career. He has been known as a ‘destination surgeon’ and has attracted patients to our group from all of Indiana and beyond,” said Dr. Timothy Dicke, president and CEO of OrthoIndy.
Dr. Dicke continues, “He has filled key leadership positions including president of OrthoIndy and the Orthopaedic Research Foundation and was instrumental in building the OrthoIndy Hospital. We will miss his skills and leadership and wish him the best in retirement.”
Last month, OrthoIndy employees surprised Dr. Fisher with a standing ovation after his last surgery at OrthoIndy Hospital. We wish you the best, Dr. Fisher!
